As we set about finding an answer, we realised there were many other people, like us, that were already experimenting with locally made sustainable food and artisan products, but they had nowhere to showcase these items. So, we decided to create a platform where this could happen and started building a vibrant and vital community.

We partnered with Qatar Foundation to create Torba Market at Education City as a place where like-minded people could become part of a journey towards sustainability and healthy living. The market quickly became a place where organic farmers, local artisans, crafters and makers could share their passions and products with a burgeoning community.

We expanded our community to online, where we champion the Do Gooders, the artisans and small businesses who are optimistic about the future,  who see the importance of shopping small, looking  after our earth and our health.

The people in our community buy into the philosophy of localism. Like us, they want to protect our planet by being less wasteful. We prioritise new brands and people who align with our ethos, so that those are underrepresented and give them a place where they can shine.
